AI brand perception tracking

Find out why AI recommends you, or doesn't

Perception sorts every AI answer that names you into topics. You see what AI praises you for, the objections it raises, where you rank against each competitor on every topic, and the pages AI cited when it made each point.

What is AI brand perception tracking?

AI brand perception tracking records what AI answers say about your brand, not only whether they mention it. Paprik sorts every answer that names you into topics such as pricing, ease of use or support, and marks each point as praise or an objection.

The page cited next to a criticism is often not where it comes from. Of 63 pages we checked by hand that AI cited alongside a criticism, only 27 made the point at all. Paprik reads each cited page and lists it behind an objection only when the page says it.

What you get

What AI says about you, topic by topic

Topics built from your own answers

Paprik reads your first full day of AI answers and picks the topics buyers in your category ask about. When AI starts raising something new, it joins the list once it turns up on more than one day, marked New.

Every rival on every topic

For each topic, each brand's share of what AI says, adding up to 100%. You see which competitor AI credits on price, which on ease of use, and which topics nobody has claimed yet.

The objections, most frequent first

The points AI makes against you, with how many answers raised each one and how often AI raises the same point against your competitors.

The page behind every point

Open any topic to see the pages AI cited when it linked you to it, the engines that cited them and the answers themselves. A page is listed behind an objection only after Paprik has read it and found the point there.

How it works

How Paprik tracks AI brand perception

  1. Topics from your own answers

After your first full day of tracking, Paprik builds a topic list from what AI said about you and your competitors.

  2. Every answer tagged

Each answer that names you is tagged by topic, as praise or an objection, counting only points AI makes under your brand's own names and aliases.

  3. New topics as they appear

A topic AI raises in at least three answers on two different days is added and marked New, so the list follows what AI says.

  4. Pages checked, not assumed

Paprik reads the pages AI cited next to each point and lists a page only when it says the same thing.

AI brand perception: common questions

What does ChatGPT say about my brand?
Ask it the questions your buyers ask and read the answers that name you: what it praises, what it holds against you, and which brands it puts ahead of you. Paprik does this every day on the AI engines you track and groups what they say into topics, so you see the pattern rather than a single answer.
How is AI brand perception different from AI sentiment?
Sentiment scores the tone of each AI answer from 0 to 100. Perception explains the score: which topics each answer links your brand to, and whether as praise or as an objection. In Paprik both sit on the same page.
Why does ChatGPT recommend a competitor instead of my brand?
Usually because it credits the competitor on the topics buyers ask about, such as price or integrations. Paprik shows each brand's share of what AI says on every topic, so you see where a competitor is credited and where no brand is yet, and the pages AI cited for each point show where that impression comes from.
What do the percentages in an AI brand perception report mean?
Paprik shows two. Your brand's bars count, out of every 100 AI answers that name you, how many link you to a topic. The comparison shows your share of all the times AI links any tracked brand to that topic, so each row adds up to 100%. The first says what you are known for; the second says whether you or a competitor owns the topic.
Can AI confuse my brand with a company that has a similar name?
Yes. In Paprik a point counts for your brand only when AI makes it under your brand's own names or the aliases you add. If AI keeps naming a look-alike product next to you, the page says how often it happens and which sites the look-alike's pages come from.
How do I change what AI says about my brand?
Change the pages AI reads when it makes the point. Each objection in Paprik lists the pages that state it: update the ones you own, and answer or correct the ones you don't. On-site Actions and Third-party Actions turn those pages into specific changes and drafts.
Is AI brand perception tracking included in every Paprik plan?
Yes. Every plan includes it, for your brand and for every competitor you track. Topics appear after your first full day of tracking.
